Detailed information about network connected systems

Network connected systems are solar systems in which energy is sold to the electrical grid.

The owner of the network connected system becomes eligible producer with rights and obligations as every other producer of electricity in the Croatian market. As such, must as part of btaining papework provide cost benefit analysis of investment listing annual production and production per month.

Croatian Energy Market Operator (HROTE) pays eligible producers of energy (such as solar power) for energy supplied to the HEP's network accoridng to preferential tariffs.

TARIFF SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING ELECTRICITY FROM RENEWABLE ENERGY AND COGENERATION
was adopted by Croatian Government on 22nd March 2007, based on Article 28 Paragraph 3 Energy Act (Official Gazette no. 68/3001 and 177/2007). This act set the initial value of preferential tariffs (in HRK / kWh) for energy provided into the HEP network system. The value of preferential tariffs is associated with the retail price index by the Central Bureau of Statistics for the previous calendar year.

Every year, preferential tariffs are being updated and amended to increase the value of the retail price index (Croatian National Bank).
The retail price index for last year rose 1.9%. The value of preferential tariffs for systems up to 10kW for the past year (2010) is 3.77 HRK / kWh. So the value of preferential tariffs for 2011 is 1.9% higher and amounted to 3.84 HRK / kWh.

Current value of preferential tariffs for solar systems is as follows:

Systems up to 10kW 3.84 HRK/kWh for energy produced
Systems from 10kW to 30kW 3.39 HRK/kWh for energy produced
System over 30kW 2.37 HRK/kWh for energy produced

Downloads below show procedures for achieving the status of eligible producer for each network connected solar system, depending on their size:
